Usually we just end up either shifting things around or just editing them out. In general though we have a layered look to our home (and a deeply layered look to our basement).
I would love to know what those beautiful Aqua blue books are that I notice you use a lot. They add such a lovely pop of colour to the room every time!
Those blue books are bound volumes of Scientific American magazine from 1955-1979. Linda found them on a sidewalk in Brooklyn put out with someone's (a scientist's?) recyclables. There would be more, but she gave half to her friend Courtenay, and then I think Courtenay's roof leaked on that half.
