Wooden task lamp

image

Beautiful 1980's (although likely imagined in the 1970's) handmade architect's lamp, found at an estate in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I love how even the nuts and bolts are wood.
Standing ovation to the maker but unfortunately it's not signed.

Bjorn to Ride

Bjorn Wiinblad candelabra

Spectacularly whimsical 20" tall Bjorn Wiinblad ceramic horseman candelabra, new in our shop.
Also in our shop, which, thanks to Remodelista's mention has been recently depleted, are some Patrick Nagel prints, Alessio Tasca bookends, Gunnar Cyren cooking pots, a Gerald Thurston desk lamp, a Jack Russell needlepoint, a brass souvenir of Kuwait Towers, two more oil tankers, a Jens Quistgaard tray, a brass Beverly Hills key tray, and a lucite wine pourer,  among other things.

Below: A Gump's of San Francisco's incredible Bjorn Wiinblad display from the mid-70's. Notice the giant fountain overlooking a chrysanthemum-bordered reflecting pool. wow

Farewell old gradient rug (below) from Bloomingdales, 1965 (via a yard sale)- you served us well.
Hello new rag rug (above) from the Crate & Barrel outlet in Kittery.
Also goodbye dangerous little Saarinen table (below) and hello old Giotto Stoppino tables (above), which are empty for climbing on/making into forts.
And hello new (old) track lighting, 46 more of which are in the basement.

Think minimalist. It's more intellectual.

And relatedly, really enjoying all the fascinating posts
lately about Poltronova at the excellent blog RoLu.
