A most stylish visit to the feeder (in slow-motion).

A black-capped chickadee glides up to our window for a snack.

Bowl, 1947

jcmarsh.slider2

New in the shop, a great little black clay bowl signed JC Marsh, 47. Coincidentally the same year that Miracle on 34th St. came out...

Over the next few weeks we'll be stocking the shop with perfect gifts like this, so keep checking!

1949 - The Arnold and Selma Potter House, Cape Elizabeth ME.  Although the house has since been added onto (a bedroom wing) and the materials stripped back to bare wood from its original coated surface, the house's form remains intact. Today, the screens are closed in with glass.

Nicely matched to last year's project, the Van boat:

1962 Eames shell chair

Yard sale: 1962 Eames chair from an old Mainer estate with then-practical-/now-frustrating drain hole drilled into the seat.
I really don't mind though- it adds context and reminds you that these things were not made to be precious. Plus now we can keep it outside.

Looking over the sides of Mackworth Island this morning.

The middle view is like looking down onto treetops, until you see the water.
Or like looking down to an epicly flooded forest. Or a Hipgnosis album cover.
